| Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre, Inc. is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3), semi-professional theatre that was born on May 1 2000. FCFT became incorperated on July 1, 2000. FCFT is governed by a thirteen member Board of Directors and maintains a contracted production and professional staff. Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre offers 6 productions each season, four of which are open to the public for participation through open auditions. The other two production are performed by FCFT professional troups, "A Company of Friends Educational Production" and the FCFT Professional Dinner Theatre Ensembles." Membership in FCFT Professional Companies requires an invitation by the Directors. A Company of Friends Educational Productions present a weekday morning production each year that 1000 of local school children can enjoy with their classes. The Professional Dinner Theatre Ensembles presents well-known dramas and comedies for adult audiences and brings to life famous musicals and stories for a more family oriented audience. Each professional dinner theatre ensemble production is complete with a catered meal, beverages and delicious desserts. As an educationally based organization, we offer workshops, production camps and weekly acting classes through-out the year. These shops, camps and classes are designed for ages 5 to 18 years and foster creativity and a love of theatre. All workshops, camps and classes are taught by theatre professionals. Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre obtains operating revenues from ticket sales, ad sales in programs, annual sponsorships, registration fees and concession sales. FCFT productions are staged at various Fayette County School venues, local YMCA Venues, Churches and local amphitheaters. Audition notices are printed in all local papers two weeks prior to try-outs. All ages are cast in FCFT shows with an emphasis on performers from 8 to 18. | Our Mission Statement FCFT, Inc. was formed to offer professional quality, educational and high moral theatrical experienced to families with children from 2 to 18 years of age. FCFT offers opportunities for performers of all experience levels and ages to take part in quality theatrical productions and to attend professionally staffed workshops and camps. FCFT makes it possible for participants to learn, through a hands-on approach, the on-stage and backstage areas of theatre in a safe, family atmosphere.
